ILLUSTRATED ILLUSTRATORS 3: "Art for Children"

Even today we like to look at and review the comics, adventure novels and illustrated books with which we evoke such good memories of the hours we lived with them in our childhood, and we admire the work with which these historical cartoonists gave us. Regarding the recognized quality of these artists, today we want to highlight one aspect in a special way: boys and girls get used from an early age to enjoy an artistic manifestation created especially for them. It is a merit that we owe to names like: Opisso, “Apa” , Lola Anglada, Junceda, Llaverias, Coll, Apel·les Mestres, Benejam, Escobar, Cornet, Becquer, Castanys, Moreno, Muntañola, Serra Massana, Vinyals, Urda, Mallol, Lollam, D'Ivori, “Quelus”, Prat, “Cesc”, Passarell, “Fer”, Tínez, Nit, Cabrero Arnal, “Bon”, “Ja”, Ayné, K-Hito, Blanco, Elvira Elias, Sabatés, Obiols, Roca, Aragay, Garrido, Batllori Jofré, Mercè Llimona, Ibáñez, Cristina Losantos, Pau Planas, Narro ... They knew how to put their talent at the service of pedagogy and entertainment, if they are two different activities. In any case, they are sure to be complementary and to channel the imagination and stimulate children's reading.
